That’s All*

Every so often, I come back to thinking about the minimum I require to maintain ongoing, good health and wellbeing. While I don’t always achieve them, my minimum requirements generally include 8 ½ hours of sleep, balanced nutrition, and solitude daily.

Delving deeper into the world of social media marketing, I also consider the minimum required for maximum effect. I like to keep things simple – do what is crucial for the health of my business when time only allows for the minimum.

When I started my business in 2006, I knew that having an online presence was vital and at the time, that meant having my own website and having a presence on the voiceover marketplace sites, ie. voices.com/people/natashamarchewka and voice123.com/natashamarchewka. Since then, however, the bar has been raised. A website and a reference in the voiceover marketplace is not enough.

As the playing field evolves, you can be sure that I like to keep up with what is deemed essential in today’s business landscape while not wasting time. As an autodidact of marketing I have learned that I don’t need to be EVERYWHERE. (Thank you, Entrepreneur.com!)

I dragged my feet on creating a business page on facebook as I didn’t see it as beneficial or relevant to my business. (I finally caved.) I have determined that having a blog is crucial, as is having accounts with Twitter, Linkedin, SoundCloud, YouTube, and Google+ (still trying to navigate that one!). And, my eNewsetter from iContact is also important to me, if only to deliver my blog and allow it to be shared within my network. Gee, is that all?

I’m interested in hearing YOUR minimum requirements…for wellbeing AND for social media marketing. Please feel free to comment on LinkedIn, Twitter, my blog, or (privately) in a good “old fashioned” email! (contact info on my website!)
